15-Year-Old Arrested and Charged in Weapons Trafficking Case


Winnipeg, October 10, 2023 - In a significant development in an ongoing investigation, the Major Crimes Unit has taken a 15-year-old boy into custody, charging him with Weapons Trafficking and an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.


The arrest is connected to a tragic incident that unfolded on August 5, 2023, when a 16-year-old male was charged with Manslaughter in the shooting death of a teenage boy. Investigators believe that the accused arrested today played a pivotal role by allegedly selling the firearm used in the fatal shooting.


The accused has been placed in youth custody as the investigation continues.
