16 Year-Old Arrested After Stabbing Incident


Winnipeg Police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing of four teenage boys on May 5. Three 14 year-old boys and one 13 year-old received emergency medical care after suffering multiple stab wounds on Portage Avenue at about 8:30pm. Police learned they had been stabbed after an attempted robbery and were able to quickly locate and arrest the suspect.


In addition to the attack, police later learned that the suspect was responsible for a string of violent pizza delivery robberies including one where a delivery driver was stabbed and required surgery for his injury.


A 16 year-old youth has been charged and police are looking to identify additional suspects in the robberies.
