A Recipe for Big Mac Tacos


Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - Here's a recipe for Big Mac tacos, combining the flavors of a Big Mac burger with the convenience of a taco:


Ingredients:


For the Taco Shells:


8 small flour tortillas

For the Beef Filling:


1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Special Sauce:


1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon finely minced onion

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Additional Ingredients:


Shredded lettuce

Finely diced pickles

Shredded cheddar cheese

Sesame seeds


Prepare the Special Sauce:

In a bowl, combine all the special sauce ingredients. Mix well until smooth and refrigerate until ready to use.


Prepare the Taco Shells:

Heat the flour tortillas according to the package instructions. You can heat them in a dry skillet or microwave for a short time to make them pliable.


Prepare the Beef Filling:

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent and the beef is fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.


Assemble the Tacos:

Take a warmed tortilla and spread a spoonful of the special sauce in the center. Add a portion of the cooked beef filling on top of the sauce.


Add Toppings:

Sprinkle shredded lettuce, diced pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese over the beef filling.


Finish and Serve:

Drizzle a little more of the special sauce over the toppings. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a touch of authenticity.


Serve the Big Mac tacos immediately while they're still warm and the cheese is slightly melted.
