A Student Was Bit by Police Dog During a Visit

Thursday, December 15, 2022 - Wednesday morning while visiting Samuel Burland School as part of a classroom visit a Winnipeg Police K9 bit a student.

The child suffered an injury and was provided with medical care before being transported to a hospital as a precaution and for treatment.

We are investigating the matter, and the police dog has been removed from active service until a review has been completed.
