Winnipeg, March 22, 2024 - Thanks to the help of a resident tip, the Winnipeg Police apprehended the two suspects linked to a series of retail theft incidents yesterday. The individuals identified as 44-year-old Lorne Quintin Flett and 41-year-old Lena Rose Romero were taken into custody following a public request for assistance.

A tip led police to the 300 block of Boyd Avenue, where Flett and Romero were arrested around 9:45 p.m. without any resistance.

The suspects were sought on the strength of warrants related to their alleged involvement in multiple retail theft cases. Notably, a child was reportedly present during some of these incidents.

Further investigation revealed Flett and Romero's connection to additional similar retail theft occurrences that took place in March. Both are facing numerous charges, including Theft Under $5,000, Robbery, and Failure to Comply with Order offences.
