Winnipeg, April 9, 2024 - The Manitoba RCMP is currently investigating an armed robbery that happened on the night of April 2, shortly after 11:00 p.m., at a business located on Main Street in Selkirk.


Details provided by the RCMP indicate that a male suspect, armed with a handgun, forcibly entered the store and demanded money from the employees. The suspect, whose identity remains unknown, was described as wearing a plaid shirt or jacket along with a balaclava to conceal his face. After obtaining the cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot.


The RCMP is urging anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to come forward. Individuals who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident or have any relevant information are encouraged to contact the Selkirk RCMP at 204-482-1222.
