Emergency Demolition Called After Early Morning Fire


Monday, June 5, 2023 - An emergency demolition has been issued following an early morning vacant home fire.


The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) were called to a fire at a vacant home on just before 2:00 a.m. this morning on Manitoba Avenue that kept firefighters busy for over two hours.


No injuries were reported. Due to the structural impacts of the fire, the WFPS initiated an emergency demolition for the house. The demolition is expected to begin later today.


The cause of the fire is under investigation. The house is a total loss.
