Fatal Collision Claims Winnipeg Pedestrian's Life on Pembina Highway

Winnipeg, MB - On November 23, 2023 - Tragedy struck on Pembina Highway as a motor vehicle collision claimed the life of an adult female pedestrian. At approximately 10:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police responded to the distressing incident that occurred in the 3100 block of Pembina Highway.


The preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound Honda Accord, driven by a 21-year-old male, collided with the pedestrian. Despite immediate medical attention, the victim's condition remained critical, and tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.


Following the collision, authorities closed off Pembina Highway near the perimeter for several hours. The Traffic Division urges anyone with pertinent information, eyewitness accounts, or potential video footage captured by dash cameras or other sources to come forward.
