High Risk Sex Offender to Live in Winnipeg


Friday, May 19, 2023 - The WInnipeg Police are alerting the public to the release of a high risk sex offender who police said will be taking up residence in Winnipeg.


Police said in a release, Curtis Leroy George, 31 years old, is a convicted sex offender considered high risk to re-offend in a sexual/violent manner against all females, both adults and children.

He was released from Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, Manitoba, after serving a sentence for failing to comply with the conditions of a probation order. He was convicted of this offence on May 17, 2023, and received a total sentence of 68 days time served.


George has a history of violent and sexual offending. He is an untreated sexual offender and considered high risk to re-offend in a sexual manner. All females, both adults and children, are at risk of sexual violence.

Winnipeg Police cautioned that this information is provided to enable members of the public to take suitable measures to protect themselves. Any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct directed at Mr. George will not be tolerated.
