Judge Delays Court Injunction to Remove Barricades at Brady Landfill

Wednesday, July 12, 2023 - Protestors blocking the Brady Landfill will have their day in court tomorrow, Thursday, at noon. Justice Sheldon Lanchbery adjourned the matter in order to give protesters time to seek legal counsel.

The blockade has been in place now for six days and was established in to the Manitoba Government's decision not to fund a search of the Prairie Green landfill north of Winnipeg. The location is believed to be where the remains of two Indigenous women are located.

Protesters have told multiple media outlets that they do not intend to dismantle the barricade even if there is a court order.
