Nearly $2,000 in Fines for Doing 141 km/h in a 60 zone

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - Winnipeg Police driver received nearly $2,000 in fines after being clocked in doing 141 km/h in a 60 zone on Keewatin while heading into a pedestrian crosswalk where the crossing lights had just been activated.

Police pulled over the vehicle and stated on Twitter that the motorist asked to be let off with a warning for his transgression. They did oblige the driver, but did issue a $1,110 speeding ticket for 81km/h over the limit, a $672 drive careless ticket, a $174 ticket for having no exhaust system and a serious offence notice for licence review.
