POLICE: Do you know this man?

Winnipeg, March 14, 2024 - On February 13, of this year, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Major Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into property crime following an online damage report from a retail business located in the 900 block of Empress Street.


During their inquiry, investigators uncovered that an adult male had entered the business with soil/mud-covered hands, promptly depositing the material into separate bulk food storage bins near the entrance. Subsequently, the suspect left the premises on foot. The incident resulted in the bulk food becoming unsellable, inflicting an estimated financial loss of $2,000 upon the business.


Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man, whose image has been provided. Described as an adult male aged approximately 25-35 years old, standing between 5’7” to 5’11” tall with a medium build, the individual is noted to possess darker hair along with a goatee and partial beard. Additionally, he was observed wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket paired with light-colored loose-fitting pants.
