Police Looking for Two Ottawa Drug Traffickers


Thursday, June 22, 2023 - Two Ottawa men remain at large after Winnipeg Police found cocaine and prescription pills during a search of their temporary residence.


The investigation began a month earlier when police identified the two men when they moved into a home on Northwater Bay. On June 1, 2023 they executed a search warrant at the home and seized the following:


- Approximately $35,000 CDN currency

- Approximately 560 grams of Powder Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $56,000)

- Approximately 54 grams of Crack Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $5,400)

- Approximately 700 Percocet Prescription Pills (Estimated Street Value = $7,000)

- Packaging Material

- Various Legal Documents and Identification


The suspects were not present at the residence when the search warrant was executed. A search of the suspects was met with negative results.


29 year-old Ahmed Waiziry, of Ottawa, ON, has been charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5,000

29 year-old Najibullah Rassouli, Ottawa, ON, has been charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5,000

Both suspects remain at large and are believed to be evading police. Warrants for the suspects’ arrests have been issued, and the Provincial Crown’s Office has authorized charges.
