Police Respond to Another Shooting Incident in Downtown Winnipeg


Winnipeg, November 5, 2023 – Early this morning, Winnipeg Police and Air1 responded to a reports of gunfire in the 1800 block of Portage Avenue downtown.


Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered two adult male victims, both with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. The victims were promptly transported to hospital where they currently remain in critical condition.


The gravity of the situation prompted the immediate intervention of the Homicide Unit, which has now assumed control of the investigation. At the crime scene, members of the Forensic Identification Unit meticulously continue their work, seeking crucial evidence that might shed light on this shocking incident.


Authorities are urging the community to come forward with any information that could aid the ongoing investigation.
