Winnipeg, December 28, 2023 - On December 27, the St-Pierre-Jolys Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) responded to a brazen bank robbery on Main Street in the peaceful community of Grunthal. The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m.

According to preliminary reports, a lone male suspect entered the financial institution and, in a terrifying turn of events, demanded money while making threats towards bank employees.

Police believe that the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, eluding immediate capture. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working diligently to piece together the details of the robbery, including the suspect's motive and the precise amount of money stolen.

The suspect is described as wearing a dark-colored jacket and a black toque with a small logo and lettering beneath it. He is further characterized by having shoulder-length dark brown hair, a moustache, and some facial hair.

Manitoba RCMP's Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, along with officers from the St-Pierre-Jolys detachment, have initiated a comprehensive investigation to apprehend the perpetrator swiftly and ensure the safety of the community.
