Thursday, August 17, 2023 - With public safety emerging as a primary concern of voters heading into the election, NDP leader Wab Kinew told a crowd on Wednesday that despite his previous charges/ allegations and convictions, he’s ready to take on crime and especially drug dealers. But as Marty Gold points out, aside from his lack of true remorse for previous assaults on a cab driver and his former girlfriend, there’s a couple of holes in the Kinew plan- he made no mention of dismantling street gangs, or of the NDP’s support nationally for legalizing hard drugs.
