Stabbing Incident at Winnipeg Hotel Complex Leaves Victim Injured


Winnipeg, October 10, 2023 - In the early hours of October 7, at around 1:20 a.m., the Winnipeg Police responded to a distress call originating from a hotel complex located in the 700 block of Main Street. The call reported a gruesome incident wherein an adult male had fallen victim to a stabbing assault.


Upon arrival, officers, aided by members of the Tactical Support Team, discovered a 45-year-old male victim bearing severe upper-body injuries from the stabbing. Displaying remarkable professionalism, the officers administered crucial emergency medical aid, utilizing a chest seal, before the arrival of the ambulance. The victim, initially in unstable condition, was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he was later upgraded to stable condition.


The assailant managed to escape the scene before law enforcement's arrival, leaving officers with an ongoing manhunt. At present, no arrests have been made, intensifying the urgency of the investigation. In response, the Major Crimes Unit has taken charge of the case, employing its expertise to apprehend the suspect and deliver justice.
