Suspect Wanted in Sexual Assault on WInnipeg Transit


Wednesday, July 5, 2023 - The Winnipeg Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect wanted in relation to a sexual assault on a woman on board a transit bus June 17th.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., the victim, a 19-year-old female, was on a transit bus in the St. Vital area when an unknown male sat beside her. He unexpectedly touched her lower body in an inappropriate sexual manner. When the victim exited the bus, the suspect followed her off but proceeded in an unknown direction. She was not physically injured during this incident.

As a result of the investigation by members of the Sex Crimes Unit, the following images of the suspect have been obtained:



Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity is asked to call the Sex Crimes Unit at 204-986-2987 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

On June 17, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a sexual assault on an adult female on board a transit bus.

Officers met with a 19-year-old female who provided an initial report:

At approximately 11:15 a.m., she was on a transit bus in the St. Vital area when an unknown male sat beside her. He unexpectedly touched her lower body in an inappropriate sexual manner. When the victim exited the bus, the suspect followed her off but proceeded in an unknown direction. She was not physically injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as:

- A white male in his 40s

- He had short grey hair

- Average build
