Teen Robbed at Gunpoint at Winnipeg Bus Stop


Winnipeg, October 9, 2023 - Monday evening of October 9, around 7:00 p.m., a teenage male fell victim to a robbery at a Winnipeg bus stop located at Fort Street and Graham Avenue in Winnipeg.


The teenage victim, was waiting at the bus stop when he was suddenly confronted by a group of unidentified individuals, all of whom were donning face masks to conceal their identities. This intimidating group, armed with guns and knives, made chilling threats against the young victim's life before robbing him of his personal belongings. Following the brazen attack, the suspects hastily made their escape on foot.


Winnipeg Police, responding to a similar call for assistance, matched the description of the suspects. The ensuing events saw a brief foot pursuit, during which one of the suspects discarded a firearm. This suspect was eventually apprehended in a nearby park, while the remaining individuals managed to elude capture. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from this incident, and subsequent investigations revealed that the discarded firearm was, in fact, a BB gun.


The Winnipeg Police Service has now charged a 17-year-old male, hailing from outside Winnipeg, with several serious offenses in connection to the incident. The charges filed against the suspect include:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm

  • Pointing a Firearm

  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition

  • Disguise with Intent

  • Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm

The suspect has been placed in youth custody, pending further legal proceedings. The Winnipeg Police Service continues to investigate this disturbing incident, working diligently to identify and locate the remaining suspects involved.
