Winnipeg, March 17, 2027 - The Winnipeg Police Homicide Unit is investigating an incident that happened yesterday afternoon in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man identified as Robert Clayton Smith.


At approximately 2:45 p.m. yesterday, police were called to a suite where officers discovered an unresponsive man, later identified as Robert Clayton Smith. Smith was found to be in critical condition and was promptly transported to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.


The circumstances surrounding Smith's death remain unclear and the nature of Smith's distress and the events leading up to his death are subjects of the Homicide Unit's investigation.
