Thompson RCMP Looking For Suspect in Armed Robbery


Monday, May 15, 2023 - Thompson RCMP have arrested a suspect and are looking for the second after an armed robbery on Hickory Avenue on May 12.


A 38 year-old man was threatened with a machete as he was walking down a street. The suspects stole items from the victim and fled.


Just 40 minutes later two women, aged 53 and 55 were threatened on Queens Bay. The suspects claimed to have a knife. The suspects fled and the women were not physically injured The suspects involved were believed to be the same males from the earlier incident. Officers, along with police dogs located one of the suspects a short time later. Police Service Dog Linkin also located a bag that was believed to be discarded by the suspect. The bag contained more than $3000.00 in cash and a small quantity of cocaine.


19 year-old Brayden Charlette, 19, has been charged with robbery, uttering threats, resisting arrest and possession of drugs for the purpose of drug trafficking.
