THREE WINNIPEG TEENAGERS CHARGED WITH ROBBERY


Sunday, June 19, 2022 - Three Winnipeg teenagers were charged Friday around 1:30 a.m., after Winnipeg Police responded to a robbery in the 1700 block of Pembina Highway.


Upon arrival, police located the 23-year-old victim suffering from injuries. Ambulance personnel attended and treated the victim.


Officers subsequently identified and arrested two of the three suspects in the Wildwood Park area without incident.


Investigators believe the victim and the suspects were all passengers on the same transit bus. Investigators believe the suspects followed the victim as she exited the bus, attacked her without provocation, and robbed her of her personal property. One of the suspects is believed to have brandished a knife during the robbery.


The accused and the victim were previously unknown to one another.


A 16-year-old female youth of Winnipeg is facing the following charges:


- Robbery

- Possess Weapon

- Fail to Comply with Probation Order

A 13-year-old female youth of Winnipeg is facing the following charge:


- Robbery


They were released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
