Winnipeg Police Investigating Two Potential Homicides in the City's North End

November, 21, 2023 - Between midnight and 5:00 a.m. today, Winnipeg Police responded to two separate incidents in the city's northend that have sparked investigations by the Winnipeg Police Homicide Unit.


At approximately 1:45 a.m., in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue officers responded to a distressing call regarding a seriously injured female. The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, the 20-year-old victim died because of her injuries.


Then, shortly before dawn, at around 4:50 a.m., Winnipeg Police were called to a multi-tenant residence in the 100 block of Selkirk Avenue. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was already on-scene, attending to a report of a suspicious death. Police discovered the lifeless body of a male individual. Thee Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
