Two in Police Are in Custody After Another Shooting in Winnipeg


Thursday, April 13, 2023 - Winnipeg Police have two people in custody for a shooting that occurred Thursday on Furby Street.


Police were approached by a man who was visibly injured. Police believed the injury was consistent with a gunshot. The injury required officers to provide emergency medical care, including a tourniquet and dressing.

The 38-year-old man victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.

An investigation revealed that the victim was visiting a suite in the 500 block of Furby Street when a verbal dispute erupted involving a male and female. The incident escalated when an adult female armed herself with a firearm and shot the victim in the lower body. An adult male then armed himself with an edged weapon and assaulted the victim to the upper body causing multiple injuries.

The victim fled the area, at which time police were flagged down.

A short time later, investigating members located the suspects, and they were placed under arrest.

Kayleigh Roulette, 22 years old of Winnipeg and Tyrone Beaulieu, 28 years old of Winnipeg, has been charged with numerous weapon-related offences.

Both were detained in custody.
