WHO WERE THE HIGHEST PAID CITY OF WINNIPEG STAFF?


Thursday, June 30, 2022 - Some staff in the City of Winnipeg took home over $200,000 in pay in 2021.


According to the annual compensation report ( click here to view full report ) prepared by KMPG for the City of Winnipeg, 18 employees made over $200,000, and 15 of them worked for police or fire.


The highest-paid person was the city’s chief transportation & utilities officer, Dave Wardrop, who made $380,000.


The Winnipeg Police Chief made $288,000, and Winnipeg Fire Chief ended the year with $218,000.


Mayor Bowman took home $198,000 in 2021 and enjoyed a million-dollar-plus expense account.


The report indicates over 2,700 employees of the city made six-figure salaries.


The report includes all forms of compensation, including back pay, severance, salary, overtime, and more.
