Winnipeg, January 1, 2024 - The Winnipeg Police are currently conducting a homicide investigation following the discovery of a deceased male on December 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Flora Avenue. The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Brooklyn Elijah Hiebert of Winnipeg, marking a grim start to the new year for the community.


Upon responding to a call regarding suspicious circumstances, Winnipeg Police officers arrived at the scene only to find the lifeless body of Hiebert. Investigators swiftly took charge of the situation and have since concluded that this tragic incident was indeed a homicide.
