WINNIPEG INVESTIGATING A STABBING AND SHOOTING


Monday, June 6, 2022 - Winnipeg Police are investigating and a shooting from Sunday and early Monday.


On June 5, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the intersection of Sargent Avenue and Beverley Street for a stabbing.

General Patrol officers from the Central District attended and located an injured female in her thirties. She was subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition.

No arrests have yet been made. Members of the Major Crimes Unit are continuing this investigation.

On June 6, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a shooting at a residence in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue.

Officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound and provided emergency medical care. He was transported to hospital in critical condition.

This investigation was turned over to the Major Crimes Unit, no arrests have been made.
