Winnipeg, January 3, 2024 - In a thrilling matchup at the Canada Life Centre, the Winnipeg Jets continued their points streak by securing a 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The win extended the Jets' streak to nine games (7-0-2).

The Jets' success at home has been nothing short of impressive this season, boasting a record of 13-5-2 on their home ice, which currently stands as the second-best home record in the league. With this win, the Jets showcased their dominance in their own territory while further establishing themselves as serious contenders in the Central Division.

Neal Pionk and Alex Iafallo played pivotal roles in overturning an early 1-0 deficit during the second period. Their efforts, combined with the stellar performance of Connor Hellebuyck in the net, laid the foundation for Winnipeg's victory. Hellebuyck made an impressive 32 saves and extended his unbeaten streak in regulation to ten starts (8-0-2).

The Jets didn't stop there, as Nikolaj Ehlers and Morgan Barron capitalized on their opportunities in the third period to put the game out of reach for the Lightning. The combination of solid defensive play and clinical finishing has been a hallmark of Winnipeg's recent success.

The Jets embark on a three-game road trip starting Thursday in San Jose.
