Winnipeg Jets' Winning Streak Grounded by Dallas

Updated: Nov 18, 2023

Winnipeg, November 11, 2023 - The Winnipeg Jets hit a roadblock on Saturday afternoon as their three-game winning streak came to a halt with a hard-fought 3-2 loss against the Dallas Stars. This defeat also marked the first stumble against a divisional rival this season.

The Stars, currently perched at the summit of the Central Division, notched their ninth victory of the season, showcasing their dominance in a game that saw goals from Thomas Harley, Wyatt Johnston, and Matt Duchene during a decisive middle frame.

Winnipeg attempted to rally in the third period, with Cole Perfetti and Brenden Dillon finding the back of the net for the Jets. Dillon, in particular, continued his impressive form by scoring for the fourth time in his last four games. Perfetti, contributing his fourth goal of the season, tried to spark a late comeback, but the resilient Stars defense held strong.

Looking ahead, the Jets will return to home ice to face off against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. The showdown against New Jersey provides the Jets with an opportunity to rebound and regain momentum in what is shaping up to be a competitive season in the Central Division.
