Winnipeg, January 20, 2024 - The Winnipeg Police Service has issued a plea for public assistance in the search for a missing 11-year-old girl, Myrtle Brass, who was last seen on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 5:00 PM in the Garden City area of Winnipeg.


Myrtle Brass is described as standing at 5 feet tall with a thin build. She has medium-length brown hair adorned with red streaks and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Myrtle was wearing a red parka, ripped grey sweatpants, and black and white high-top runners.


Concerns are mounting for Myrtle Brass's well-being, and authorities are urging anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward immediately. The Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit can be reached at 204-986-6250.


In a press statement, Winnipeg Police Service Spokesperson, Sergeant Emily Johnson, stated, "We are deeply concerned for Myrtle's safety and well-being. Every minute that passes without any leads is critical. We are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything related to Myrtle's disappearance to please contact us immediately. No detail is too small, and every piece of information could be vital in locating her."
