Winnipeg, November 20, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. - Winnipeg media outlets are reporting a group of protesters have blocked a CN rail line in Winnipeg, calling for a ceasefire amid the Israel-Hamas war.
The group, which is being described as pro-Palestine supporters, told one media outlet they are planning to block the movements of Israeli goods on CN rails.
Reports have indicated the protesters were seen blocking the rail line north of Union Station.
Winnipeg Police and CN Rail have confirmed to the media that they are aware of and monitoring the situation. Winnipeg police officers are on the scene for support. CN is apparently putting safety measures in place.
