Winnipeg, April 16, 2024 - Brent Pooles, President of the PC Party of Manitoba, has declared that the party’s upcoming leader will be chosen on April 26, 2025. Brad Zander, a seasoned lawyer with a background in corporate and commercial law, will helm the Leadership Committee, steering the course of the leadership race.


Expressing his enthusiasm, Zander stated, “I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of this process of renewal and optimism.” His commitment to fairness and transparency underscores his pledge to uphold the highest standards throughout the contest. Zander envisions a grassroots engagement, aiming to involve both existing and prospective party members from across the province.


Zander’s professional track record includes advising boards of directors on corporate governance matters and serving on public boards in Manitoba, such as Brandon University and the Liquor, Gaming, and Cannabis Authority. Additionally, his involvement in Scott Gillingham’s successful 2022 civic election campaign demonstrates his political acumen.


Acknowledging Zander’s pivotal role, Pooles expressed gratitude, recognizing the significance of the leadership contest in shaping the party's future.
