Winnipeg, May 1, 2024 - The playoff journey ended sooner than many had hoped for the Winnipeg Jets with a 6-3 defeat to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 5 of their first-round series. This marks the second consecutive postseason where the Jets have been eliminated in just five games.
Despite their best effort of the series, the Jets couldn't overcome the Avalanche. Kyle Connor, Josh Morrissey, and Tyler Toffoli found the net for Winnipeg, but it was not enough to extend their season. Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves in the game, but it wasn't enough to earn the win.
The Avalanche now advance to the next round against the winner of the series between Dallas and Vegas.
